Maimoa and the Meaning behind it to The Gardens
Maimoa – to cherish, take care of.
We’re extremely proud of our understanding and practice of cherishing and taking care of our taonga (treasured) tῡnohunohu (elders). We care following the Maori Te Whare Tapa Wha model where all four cornerstones of an individuals health is met.
- Whanau (family health)
- Tinana (physical health)
- Hinengaro (mental health) and
- Wairua (spiritual health)
We welcome and respectfully care for all cultures in our Care Home, and value Partnership and Participation for you, your family/whanau and friends in meeting your needs best.
You can arrange a time to visit us by contacting our Care Home Manager, Donna Inwood on (07) 347 9658.
The Gardens boasts an exceptional audit record with the Ministry of Health. You’ll find their latest results here.
