Sign a consent form
Because each resident’s information is precious, we ask for consent to be given by the resident, or their activated Welfare EPOA.

Your care home will reach out personally. Blua is currently available at three of our sites, with more coming soon.

Once consent is signed, download Blua, log in, and start seeing their world.

What is the Blua app?

Blua helps you feel close to your family member, even when you can't be there in person.

Through the app, you can see how their day is going; from activities to appointments. You can message the care team directly with any questions, and plan your next visit knowing exactly what's coming up.

Is Blua free to use?

Yes! Blua is completely free for family members and loved ones. Simply download the app, log in, and you're ready to go.
How do I get access?

Blua is currently available by invitation only at three care home sites. If your family member lives at one of these sites, your care home will be in touch with everything you need to get started.
I’m not a Bupa resident, can I still use Blua?

Yes, but you will need the resident or their authorised representative to consent to you having access to the app. This is due to the personal nature of the information that is available in Blua. In the first instance, please speak to your family member, following that please speak to one of our Bupa site team.
What if I have more than one family member in one of your Bupa sites?

No problem, you can access the profiles of any Bupa residents within Blua provided you have the consent of the individuals. You will be able to switch between residents in the home screen.
Is keeping Blua updated an additional task for the care team to manage?

All information in Blua comes from Bupa’s existing care systems that care teams regularly update. This accurately reflects what’s happening at the care home, and it’s not adding additional task for our care team to complete.
