Getting Started with Blua
There are 3 key steps to download, verify and start using Blua. Please follow the below instructions - and contact your care home if you would like any additional assistance.
Step 1: Download the Blua app
Download and open the app
- Use your phone to go to theApp Store on your iPhone, or Google Play on your Android phone.
- Search for Blua NZ and tap Download or Install
- Find the Blua NZ app and tap Download or Install
- Once installed, open the app.
- Sign in using the email address that received your Blua invitation.
Before you begin
You will need your
- Your NZ Bupa ID (found in your invitation email).
- The email address and mobile number Bupa has on record for you.
- The resident's date of birth.
Step 2: Create a free Bupa account
To help keep your information secure, you'll need to verify your email address and mobile phone number.
Verify your email address
- Enter your email address and select Send my code.
- Check your email inbox for a verification code from Blua.
- Return to the app and enter the code when prompted.
Verify your mobile phone number
- Enter your mobile phone number and tap Send my code.
- Check your text messages for a verification code from Bupa
- Enter the code in the app.
Create your account
- Create a password and follow the password requirements shown on screen.
- Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
Step 3: Verify your details
To confirm your connection to the resident and care home, we'll ask you to verify a few details.
You'll need:
- Your NZ Bupa ID (found in your invitation email)
- The resident’s date of birth
- Your preferred verification method
- Mobile phone number, or
- Email address.
Once your details have been verified, your account setup is complete and you're ready to start using Blua.
