Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to Bupa’s $15,000 Cashback (the Promotion). You are deemed to accept these terms and conditions when you enter into the Promotion and/or apply for an Occupation Right Agreement (ORA) to enter into this Promotion.

Bupa’s standard application terms and conditions will also apply with respect to any applications for an ORA entered in connection with this Promotion.

The Promoter is Bupa Retirement Villages Limited (Bupa) of Level 2, 109 Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket 1023.
The Promotion is available to all new prospective residents entering an application for an ORA for villa 39, 41 or 45 (Independent Living Home) at Bupa’s Totara Gardens Retirement Village (Participating Village) during the Promotional Period (as defined below).
A resident will not be considered as a “new prospective resident” if they have:
1. previously resided in one of Bupa’s retirement villages; or
2. a current application for an Independent Living Home at the Participating Village as at the Launch Date (as defined below) of the Promotion.
New prospective residents eligible under these terms will be entitled to receive a one-off payment of NZD$15,000 from Bupa (Cashback).
The Promotion commences on 02 February 2026 (the Launch Date) and ends on 16 December 2026 (the Promotional Period).
For a new prospective resident to receive the Cashback, they must:
1. return a completed and signed ORA Application Form for an Independent Living Home at the Participating Village within the Promotional Period;
2. enter into an ORA for an Independent Living Home at the Participating Village (without cancellation during the 90-day money back guarantee period); and
3. complete full settlement of the ORA (i.e. the Entry Payment paid in full) on or before 31 December 2026 (Eligible Settlement).
Subject to these terms, the Cashback will be paid to the new prospective resident’s nominated bank account on or around the 20^th of the month following the expiry of the 90 day money back guarantee period under clause 8.3 of the ORA and provided the ORA has not been cancelled or otherwise terminated.
In the event an ORA application is signed by a new or prospective resident for an Independent Living Home, the relevant Independent Living Home will be deemed to have been removed from the Promotion. If the ORA application is cancelled, withdrawn or does not proceed during the Promotional Period, the relevant Independent Living Home will be deemed to be reinstated into the Promotion.
Only one Cashback will be given per Eligible Settlement. If the Eligible Settlement relates to two new residents with joint entry into an ORA for one Independent Living Home at the Participating Village, only one Cashback will be given.
The Cashback is not transferable.
This Promotion cannot be used or combined in conjunction with any other promotions, discounts or offers unless agreed by Bupa.
Bupa reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and/or extend, suspend or cancel this Promotion at any time without giving reasons. However, Bupa will honour the terms and conditions in respect of residents who have become eligible under the terms before any such amendment or cancellation by Bupa
