The Booms Care Home

604 Parawai Road, Thames, 3500
Care Home Manager: Paula Siddle

Levels of care

  • Hospital Care
  • Dementia Care
  • Rest Home Care
  • Bupa Short Stay Services

Located at the gateway to the Kauaeranga Valley, The Booms boasts a lovely rural outlook and a view of the Thames Racecourse.

We are surrounded by beautiful English rose gardens, which have won several prizes at local flower shows. There’s a dairy close by and the local shops are just a short drive away.

Our rooms are a good size and all have a sink. We have lots of cosy corners for you to entertain your friends and family in, or you can sit and chat in one of our large lounge areas.

During the week, we have lots of different activities and outings to keep you busy. Your family is welcome to come and join in with our activities, especially events like our Quiz Night, Happy Hour or community concerts. You can get involved as much or as little as you like - it’s up to you how your spend your day.

Our carers are passionate about making your day the best it can be and are always willing to go the extra mile. Individualised cakes for birthdays and anniversaries, plus themed areas for special occasions like Christmas and Halloween are very popular with our residents.

We pride ourselves on the feel of our home – warm, friendly and, above all, relaxed. Our carers get to know you – your preferences and values, hobbies and interests - and we build our care around you and what you like to do.
