There were blue dots scattered across the three levels of Crofton Downs Retirement Village floor plans, as interest in the new development reached fever pitch over the weekend. The blue dots represented holds and applications for certain apartments by interested potential residents who wanted to secure their place in the new village, due for completion by early 2022.

Almost 100 interested Wellingtonians and their families visited the new Bupa sales office in Thorndon Quay and asked questions as they watched a village site presentation. Questions ranged from parking availability to village security, activities offered to solar panel and electric car options.
Josh Byers, Bupa’s Head of Customer Transformation explained the 82 premium apartment village will feature an indoor heated swimming pool, library, movie theatre, gym and hair salon. He said there was record pre-sales interest and applications to date for the new development.
“Hearing personal stories and gaining first-hand insights about what matters most is so important when it comes to evolving any value proposition. It was a great experience to present our newest development and to listen to people who are considering village living.”
Greg O’Connor, MP for Ōhāriu was treated to an exclusive village site visit that’s still under construction, with Diane Calvert, Wellington Councillor joining later for the village site presentation at the Thorndon office. Both delegates were impressed with what they saw and noted the benefits to the local Crofton community.
