Our quaint care home is located in the heart of Christchurch's leafy suburb of Bishopdale. An easy walk from the Bishopdale Mall, one of the local places we regularly like to visit on our outings.
Bethesda Care Home has comfortable shared lounges - a great place to socialise with other residents or your family. Our care studios also feature spacious lounge areas and ensuites for comfort and entertaining when family come to visit.
Bupa Bethesda Care Home now has a 20-bed dementia community open, we'd love to show you around this new level of care we are proud to offer the Christchurch community.
We want you to feel at home here, so it’s up to you how you spend your day. We have a wide range of activities to choose from, such as coffee club, housie and art classes. Some of our favourites include having barbeque lunches or feeding the ducks. We also have a happy hour every Friday, and visits from local entertainers ranging from Elvis Presley impersonators to Barbershop quartets. Activities are happening seven days a week. You can get involved as much or as little as you like - it’s up to you how you spend your day.
Our staff are very caring and will often go the extra mile for you, taking you to the shops when your family is unable to, for example. We also make sure we always talk to you and your family before making decisions about your care so that everyone is involved and your wishes are honoured.
