Courtenay Specialists

Prosthodontics is a type of dental specialty that focuses on diagnosis and treatment planning for issues that require a multidisciplinary approach. A prosthodontist often leads other specialists and general dentists in managing complex care and dental restorations.

Our experienced prosthodontist, Dr Constance Law, coordinates with a range of dental specialists and manages treatment for those who need extensive care. For patients with more complex dental needs, treatment may be spread out over a long period of time or require expertise from a large number of different specialists. Complex dental needs might include missing teeth or bone loss, or functional issues like cranial defects, oral cancer surgery and dental/cranial trauma.

Dr Law specialises in these types of needs. She can help with:

  • treatment planning for challenging or complex cases
  • treatment planning for people who need multidisciplinary care
  • complex implant restorations
  • patients with comprehensive reconstructive needs
  • patients with TMJD (temporomandibular joint disorder)
  • special geriatric needs
  • reconstruction for oral cancer patients
  • treatment planning for children with missing teeth.
