How do I come into a Bupa Rehab?
You will need to be assessed by NASC (Needs Assessment and Services Coordination). This will determine whether you have high, medium or low needs, which in turn influences the level of support and funding you require.
What is a Rehab plan?
We create an individualised rehab by getting a full background of your life including details like your culture, values, interests, skills, likes, dislikes and goals. This way, we get to completely understand you and can tailor our support programs to your specific likes and needs.
How do you tailor my rehab programme?
The way we work is defined primarily by collaboration. We work very closely with NASC, funders like ACC and the Ministry of Health. Our support helps, you and your family make sure they’re getting the support they need. We regularly review your situation, in case your needs change. The best support comes from a team effort, which is why we encourage you and your family to be involved as much as you can.
Who pays for my rehabilitation?
Once your needs are assessed by Needs Assessment and Services Coordination (NASC) you can apply for funding through Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), Ministry of Health NZ or you can privately fund your stay at Bupa Rehabilitation.
When can friends and family come and visit?
Your rehabilitation programme is a good reference for friends and family to see when you have free time for visitors.
Is the equipment I need provided?
Yes. We’ll ensure you have the equipment you need for your rehabilitation journey.
Can I go on outings and holidays with my friends or family?
Yes. If your rehabilitation is being funded you will be allocated a certain number of days of annual leave.
