This option involves a regular fee.
There are several organisations who fund medical alarms.
Your local Healthcare Field Officer can discuss your options with you.
There are two criteria for this funding:
1. Your health - One of our Bupa Field Officers can supply the correct forms for you to take to your doctor. Your doctor will then make the decision as to whether you qualify for Work and Income funding as far as your health is concerned.
2. Your financial situation - Work and Income funding (through the Disability Allowance) may be available, depending on your income. You need to contact Work and Income NZ find out whether you qualify for assistance. You can reach them on 0800 559 009.
