A number of District Health Boards offer Nursing Entry to Practice (NETP) programmes which the Ministry of Health provides funding for. The Ministry this year has extended the funding allowing nurses who take up positions in primary health care settings including residential aged care to participate in these programmes.
Bupa Care Services is one of New Zealand’s largest aged care providers and offers the new graduate nurse an opportunity to hone effective clinical assessment skills, develop supervision and delegation skills along with numerous leadership skills. Your practice would be in a wide range of residential aged care settings which include hospital level care, dementia care, psycho-geriatric and rest home level care.
Bupa Care Services has a number of positions available for graduates aligned to the following DHBs. Two positions are available in South Auckland, two in central Auckland, two on the North Shore and six in the Waikato DHB region. On appointment to Bupa Care Services we offer you clinical support and release time to participate in the associated District Health Boards Nursing Entry to Practice Programme. This initiative supports new graduates completing their first year of practice in a non government organisation and Bupa Care Services will be working closely with the DHB to ensure your success.
Bupa Care Services can offer new graduates competitive remuneration and employment can commence as a health care assistant prior to registrations results.
