For 3 years, Bupa Care Services has provided a validated New Zealand Nursing Council Competency Assessment Programme – with a success rate of 100%.
The 6-week programme has a robust theory component taught by topic specialists. This prepares internationally qualified registered nurses to practice nursing within the New Zealand context.
In addition to the calibre of our educators and the quality of our learning resources, Bupa Care Services provides a highly supportive ‘hands-on’ learning environment. All nurses undergo a clinical placement in one of our Care Homes, and this experience is facilitated by trained preceptors who provide sound support and guidance.
As an indicator of the level of support we provide, Bupa Care Services are willing to fund your training. The course costs can then be repaid during your period of employment – an approach that has been popular with nurses in the past!
