Bupa Care Homes - Christchurch Earthquake Information

All Bupa care homes and villages have been inspected by a number of authorities and experts including Territorial Authorities, Civil Defence, District Health Board Structural Engineers and Council Health & Safety.  We are pleased to advise that Bupa had already taken some of the advice they provided and some authorities have commended us for our management of the challenges surrounding this disaster.

Sadly, three of our caregivers were in the CTV building attending English language classes at the time of the earthquake which suffered catastrophic damage.  They were Ivy Cabunilas from Cashmere View, Rhea Sumalpong from Parklands and Lalaine Agatep from Harbourview (Wellington).  Our thoughts are with their family and friends in this time of need.

Many other staff have also been affected because of damage to their own houses or have family and friends who have been affected or are still missing, our thoughts are also with these people.

We can assure you that our care homes and villages are safe and that Bupa remain committed to the long term sustainability of all six care homes and our village in Christchurch.
