Bupa's retirement villages offer independent living in a sociable and secure environment. Our 16 villages are smaller and more affordable than most, so residents can really relax and enjoy their retirement, with good company and money to spare.
Bupa's care homes offer care for older people who can no longer live independently. Our services include respite, rehabilitative and mental health care, day care(ensuring people in the community can live independently) and dementia care (including specialised dementia care). Residents enjoy a safe, warm, friendly environment, with medical help when It's required, appetising food, recreational programmes and the support of our dedicated Bupa employees. Our 45 care homes serve many communities, from Whangarei to Timaru.
Bupa Rehab (formerly Abano Rehabilitation) offers a broad range of rehabilitation services, specialising in traumatic brain injury, vocational rehabilitation and chronic pain.
Because we are proud of the care we provide, we take pleasure in providing easy acess to our Ministry of Health Audit Certification Reports.
A number of our Bupa care facilities provide specialised care for those with advanced dementia. We pride ourselves on the degree of understanding we bring to dementia care, which is a particular focus for Bupa internationally.
Although we operate a constant open door policy, for feedback from our residents and their families, we also formally survey each resident annually. This ensures that we capture everyone’s thoughts - about the things we do well and the things we could do better - so that we can fix problems or resolve issues – or look at new ways of doing things.
The key reason we established this committee was to improve the care and services we provide to our residents and their families. We seek feedback from them, aimed at improving communication between Bupa and it’s families and residents.
